Chief Minister Animal Health Scheme
Hon. Minister, Finance, Government of Maharashtra, in the budget session of 2017 had announced the establishment of 349 mobile veterinary clinics in the state to provide animal health services at the doorsteps of the farmers. Out of the mobile veterinary teams to be established in 349 rural talukas of the state under the Chief Minister Animal Health Scheme, in the first phase, 81 new mobile veterinary teams were approved in 81 talukas. 73 vehicles have been procured subject to available provisions. Drivers and helpers are outsourced. Also, the services of 51 retired veterinary officers have been made available on a contract basis on a remuneration basis. 73 mobile veterinary teams are working at the places fixed by the government Resolution dated 15/01/2021 and 29/04/2021. Animal Husbandry has entered into a memorandum of understanding with Bharat Finance Inclusion Limited, a subsidiary of Indus Ind Bank for setting up a call centre with toll toll-free number 1962 to implement the scheme. The call centre established at Commissionerate Aundh, Pune-67, has been made operational.
