    Under the State-level innovative scheme, distribution of 2 indigenous dairy cows / 2 Crossbred dairy cows / 2 buffaloes in groups to increase milk production in the rural areas of the state.

    To promote milk production in the rural areas of the state, supply of 2 indigenous dairy cows / 2 Crossbred dairy cows / 2 buffaloes in groups to the beneficiaries. Supply of 2 indigenous dairy cows or 2 crossbred dairy cows or 2 buffaloes to beneficiaries for Rs. 70,000 per cow and Rs. 80,000 per buffalo. A subsidy of 50% is available for general category beneficiaries and 75% for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.

    • The said animals will be insured for three years at the rate of 5.75% + 10.3%.
    • The beneficiary will have to raise a self-contribution of 25%.
    • Beneficiaries taking loans from banks/financial institutions (5% beneficiary share for SCs and 20% bank loan) will be given priority under this scheme.

    Beneficiary:

    Beneficiaries below the poverty line, Very small landholding farmers, Small landholding farmers, Educated unemployed (registered with Employment and Self-Employment Centre), Women in self-help groups (A. No. 1 to 4), 30% priority to women beneficiaries from No. 1 to 4, 30% priority to disabled beneficiaries from No. 1 to 4.

    Benefits:

    Under this scheme, 2 indigenous/bred milch cows/buffaloes per beneficiary are supplied on 50% general and 75% for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe- Government subsidy. The total cost of the cow group is 156850/- and the total cost of the buffalo group is 179258/-.

    How To Apply

    Online mode on the portal www.ahmahabms.com. Online applications will be invited in the month of June and July. There will be a one-month deadline for accepting applications. Applications will not be accepted after the deadline.
