Fodder development scheme under the Improvement Programme for Feed Availability to Dairy Animals

To ensure a steady supply of green fodder for dairy animals and to inform farmers about different fodder crops, Vairan seeds as well as perennial grass species such as Yashwant and Jaywant are offered. The cost of these seeds is Rs. 1500, and subsidy fully covers this amount (100%), allowing farmers to grow fodder for their animals on their own land.

Beneficiary:

Farmers of any category can be provided benefits under this scheme. However, priority is given to Scheduled Castes/Tribes and women.

Benefits:

Preference is given to beneficiaries who have at least 3 to 5 animals.
