    Functions

    1. Rural Infrastructure Development
      • Construction and maintenance of roads, bridges, and culverts in villages.
      • Implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission for clean drinking water.
      • Development of street lighting, drainage systems, and waste management facilities.
    2. Education
      • Management of Zilla Parishad (ZP) schools across the district.
      • Distribution of free textbooks, uniforms, and mid-day meals to students.
      • Implementation of digital education initiatives for improved learning.
      • Upgrading school infrastructure with modern amenities.
    3. Health & Sanitation
      • Management of primary health centers (PHCs), rural hospitals, and sub-centers.
      • Execution of vaccination drives and maternal-child health programs.
      • Promotion of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan for sanitation and hygiene.
      • Distribution of free medicines and health kits to rural populations.
    4. Agriculture & Water Conservation
      • Promotion of sustainable farming techniques and organic farming.
      • Implementation of irrigation and watershed management projects.
      • Providing financial assistance and crop insurance to farmers.
      • Encouraging scientific soil testing for improved crop yield.
    5. Social Welfare & Employment Generation
      • Implementation of MGNREGA (Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act) to provide rural employment.
      • Empowering women and self-help groups (SHGs) through skill training.
      • Ensuring the upliftment of backward classes, tribals, and differently-abled persons through welfare programs.
